Live Studio Session

Dragonfly, US 2007

the double CD 2006 mini European Tour

On the double CD Europe 2006 we find Al , Dave and LJ recorded on their mini European Tour last Autumn on a series of shows that will almost certainly never be repeated anywhere. For any of you lucky enough to have got tickets to see them you will know what we mean!
Every track taken directly off the mixing desk of course

Next up is the CD Al and Dave Live Studio Session where
they lay down studio versions of Als most requested songs.

Following along next is Dragonfly, the complete Ramsey NJ concert from a couple of weeks ago in which Al performed 3 completely new compositions , namely Long Time Gone, Pass The Ball'' and Wrong about That.

And finally there is 20 Unreleased Originals.
This is a double album of 20 original demos recorded since 95.
None of these versions have ever been heard before. The album is a revelation

Al Stewart emerged from the sixties folk scene to achieve stardom in 1976 with top ten single, and platinum album, "Year of the Cat". Along the way, Al bought his first guitar from future Police guitarist Andy Summers and took guitar lessons from Robert Fripp, before Dylan''s music inspired him to write his own songs and relocate to London where the coffee bar fold scene was blooming. He shared a flat with Paul Simon in London''s East End in 1965, befriended Sandy Denny, Jackson C Frank and other folk-scene luminaries and worked with John Martyn, Jimmy Page, Yoko Ono and Fairport Convention, while singing finely crafted songs about love, loss, Napoleon and Nostradamus.

Drawing on extended interviews with Al, his family, friends and collaborators this is an intriguing memoir of a ''60s folk star''s trials and tribulations through stardom in the seventies and his cult success in subsequent decades.

256 Pages of Photographs , many in Colour , taken from throughout Al''s eventful life . His earliest school bands , life as a Folk Singer in Swinging London , through to the success of Year Of The Cat , Al''s life in the Hollywood Hills and his marriage to Kris ....it''s all here !
